Realizing what I've forgotten

yah yah...i'm still here; this stuff is a little more complicated than I remember...

Just need to balance my schedule, and put some time against climbing this learning curve (again)

The bright side is I recieved my WizNet network module today (well actually friday); the one from circuit cellars contest. I also recieved a strange FedEx delivery... which seems to of gone missing? I got a note saying it was left at "back porch"; hmmm damn kids must-of taken it on me

mcu's have arrived

oh yeah i'm excited. its my inner geek poking through. finally got hold of my microchip samples I ordered a week and a half ago. now its time to put some stuff together... sorta like lego, but with solder :]

anyways, gonna spend this weekend likely away for thanksgiving; so not expecting much to be canked out... we'll see how much attention I can spend on this stuff

Using the ethernet through microchip PIC controller

Juts recieved my Microchip PICTail ethernet controller board today. Found this site that shows how to build my own for the enc28j60 chip... i found it after I got mine today... but it talks alot about the design, and i'm having a tough time finding details on microchips website about the application of this board outside of the PIC demo boards;

Circuit Cellar has design contests all the time; these design contests sometimes include special sample kit order forms. For instance, one that is on right now is the wiznet ethernet controller module. Provides a nice serial interface into the ethernet world...
